What is VOYA?
Voya is an abstract name coined from the term ‘voyage’. It reflects momentum and optimism. It reminds us that the meaning of life is not found at our destination, but rather in the journey to getting there. We find ourselves through the lessons we learn, the experiences we gain, and the people we connect with along the way.
We bring together talented, passionate filmmakers and post-production professionals to craft unique video content including advertisements, social media videos, branded documentaries, and more.
About the Founder
Ula Copeland is originally from Poland and now based in Richmond, Virginia, Ula Copeland is a well-traveled photo and video producer with over ten years of experience in short films and commercials, as well as corporate, travel, and adventure videos.
Most recently, Ula was the co-founder and executive producer of a Richmond-based production company for eight years. She has worked with premier travel, food, and hospitality brands such as Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Oceania Cruises, Sabra, Washington Redskins, Martha Jefferson Hospital, Bon Secours Health System, Hamilton Beach, Weston Brands, among others.
Ula is a born ex-pat. Though she originally studied marine biology, her passion for filmmaking led her to travel around the globe, explore different countries, and learn how to effectively communicate and connect with international clients and their audiences. Today, as the founder of VOYA Collective, she is focused on collaborating with other filmmakers on creating meaningful cinematic work that connects to a multi-national audience and that moves VOYA’s clients forward. When not making films, Ula can be found exploring a new place with her daughter or practicing meditation and yoga.
